Judges 4:4 says, "Now Deborah, a prophet, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time."

This is a biblical example of when a woman had higher post than her husband. Deborah did not give up her position just to please some men who may have argued about what it would look like for a country to be headed by a woman. There are young women today with technological talents who want to contribute to the society by her own right.

Today it is not a religious, but a social problem as to how the child care issue is resolved. Just think of Israel with their child care system for women. Also, human rights were unknown issues in biblical times.
