i would add a few words on a Christian Zionism doctrine, which some teach. This says that Israel is to be preferred to other nations when doing charity, and you will get a blessing from God in return, more than giving to other nations. The justification for this is the promise to Abram in Gen.12:3: "And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed."

The question is who are Abraham's seed in the new covenant? The NT makes it plain that those of the faith of Abraham are the heirs of the promises. Gal 3:29: "And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." In other words, the heirs of the promises are believers in/followers of Jesus. As Gal. 6:10 says, " As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."
