Hebrews 9:11-15: "But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation....(vs.14) the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (vs. 15) And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant,... may receive the promise of eternal inheritance." Christ's death has the power to cleanse your mind and soul from any impurity! It sounds too simple! But it is. You must have a serious, truthful talk to God/ Jesus. You need to confess, really mean what you say. He knows everything before you tell Him! Look at this, way back at almost the beginning of the bible. Genesis 15: Verse 1, the word of the Lord came to Abraham in a vision. "Do not be afraid Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward." What did Abraham do? Genesis 15:6: "And he believed the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness." It's so easy, it's so wonderful. It's all about God! It's all about Him! Be honest, you can't hide! Then He will indwell you with the Holy Spirit and walk and talk to you. You will know.

All humans are born sinful (Romans 5:12), in addition to the sins that they may actively commit. Also, in God's sight, there is no differentiation based on the amount or elapsed time of sin that an individual has committed, since one sin is the same in His sight as a lifetime of sin (James 2:10). The process of salvation is therefore the same for all: placing faith entirely in Jesus' sinless life, sacrificial death, and (most importantly) His subsequent resurrection, which demonstrated that His death had been a sufficient payment in God's sight for human sin, making it possible for humans to obtain the same eternal life that He possesses (although we must all still die physically, unless we are alive at the time of Christ's return) through faith in Him. Believers should also then give witness to their faith by actively striving to live a life in obedience to God's commandments (although perfect obedience will never be actually attained in this life and world). However, that obedience is a product of the faith that has already saved them, rather than a cause of their salvation. Also, those acts of obedience then serve as the basis for the degree of eternal rewards that believers will receive from God.
