I think that there are multiple principles to be observed or learned from the account of Paul's shipwreck.

We should heed the warnings of Scripture or of spiritually-minded people about potential hazards or challenges that lie ahead, and how to deal with them (Acts 27:10-12).

When those hazards do arise, take counsel from God's word and its principles about what to do, and use that information to reassure others who are affected (Acts 27:21-26).

Our spiritual efforts and relationships with key individuals can not only benefit us, but many other people, as well (Acts 27:42-44).

God may also even use supernatural actions to further the effectiveness of our witness (Acts 28:1-10).
