Am I understanding correctly that this passage does not refer to the rapture? But instead serves as an warning to all to be aware of their standing (heart and life) as being pleasing to God everyday, and to not be caught in an unfavorable judgment since we don't know when Jesus could come and leave one behind?
Luke 17:35
ESV - 35 There will be two women grinding together. One will be taken and the other left.

Believers are called to live in a state of readiness, as the timing of Christ's return is unknown. This readiness involves spiritual vigilance and a life aligned with God's will. The setting of ordinary life activities in the teaching highlights that faithfulness in daily tasks is crucial. Our spiritual state in everyday life matters significantly. The verse also underscores the reality that God knows the hearts of individuals, and His selection is based on spiritual readiness, not external appearances or activities. Additionally, the suddenness of the event emphasizes a need for urgency in sharing the Gospel, because the opportunity for repentance and faith is limited. Finally, while the community of faith is important, each person is individually accountable to God. The separation of the two women illustrates personal responsibility in one's spiritual journey.
