What does the Bible say about Egypt?

Is there history here?  Would it be worth visiting Egypt today to see what God did there / will do there?

Genesis 12:10

JUB - ¹⁰ And there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there, for the famine was grievous in the land.
