Deuteronomy 34:1-6 says: " 1Then Moses climbed Mount Nebo from the plains of Moab to the top of Pisgah, across from Jericho. There the Lord showed him the whole land—from Gilead to Dan, 2 all of Naphtali, the territory of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the Mediterranean Sea, 3 the Negev and the whole region from the Valley of Jericho, the City of Palms, as far as Zoar. 4 Then the Lord said to him, “This is the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob when I said, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross over into it.” [This was to fulfill the judgment that God had previously pronounced against Moses because of the presumption that Moses had exhibited by claiming the ability to bring water out of a rock for the Israelites, when it was entirely God's doing (and also in Moses' striking the rock with his staff, rather than merely speaking to the rock, as God had commanded him to do {Numbers 20:1-13) ].)

5 "And Moses the servant of the Lord died there in Moab, as the Lord had said. 6 He buried him[a] in Moab, in the valley opposite Beth Peor, but to this day no one knows where his grave is."

(Although Moses subsequently appeared (along with Elijah) at Jesus' transfiguration (Matthew 17:1-8; Mark 9:2-13; Luke 9:28-36), Jesus Himself subsequently referred to the experience as a "vision" in Matthew 17:9, casting doubt as to whether Moses was resurrected bodily, since the Bible elsewhere specifically calls Jesus "the firstborn from the dead" (Colossians 1:18).)

Deuteronomy 34:5: So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord.

God the Father spoke to Moses and told him that He would send an angel before him and said, “Beware of Him, obey His voice, and provoke Him not for My Name is in Him.” (Exo 23:20-21) Right from the beginning, “Abraham witnessed Him, and he rejoiced to see the three angels in the form of men who stood before him.” (John 8:56/Gen 18:1-2) When they came out of Egypt and crossed the Red Sea, the Lord spoke to Moses, "Thou and Aaron shall come up to Mount Sinai." “God the Father” spoke to them about all the commandments they had to follow and the judgments they had to set. (Exo 20) Lord then gave to Moses, when God the Father made an end of communing with him on Mount Sinai two tables of stone, testimony written with the “Finger of God.” (Exo 31:18) God the Father then told Moses He would send an angel before them, and they had to obey “His voice and do all that He would speak through Him for His name is in Him.” (Ex 23:20-22) This was the WORD, "And the WORD was with God and the WORD was God, in Him was life, and the life was the Light of men." For the WORD was then born of God in flesh and dwelt among mankind. (John 1:1,4,14)

Moses came down from the mount carrying the table of stones written with the “Finger of God” and was nigh unto the camp and saw the molten calf and they were dancing. His anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands and broke them beneath the mount. (Exo 32:19) The Lord then said to Moses, "Hew two tables of stone like unto the first," for the Lord God is merciful and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in goodness and truth. And the Lord spoke to him the commandments and said to Moses, “Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.” Moses was with the Lord for forty days and forty nights and he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, “The Ten Commandments.” (Exo 34:1-28)

As per the commandments to walk in His ways, Moses was also commanded to do as the Lord spoke to him. When they came to the desert of Zin the children of Israel cried for water. Moses and Aaron went to the door of the Tabernacle and the glory of the Lord then appeared to them. Moses was then told to speak unto the rock before their eyes and it shall give forth His water. Moses gathered the congregation before the rock and said to them, "Should we fetch you water out of this rock?" Moses then lifted his hand with the rod and smote the rock twice, and water flowed abundantly, and the congregation drank. The Lord then said to Moses, "Because you believed me not to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, thou shall not bring this congregation into the promised land." (Num 20:8-12) Moses trespassed against the Lord among the children of Israel, knowing He stood upon the rock in Horeb when he smote the Rock twice and now, he told him to speak to the rock in front of their presence. Moses failed to discern and make them understand the Lord was the Spiritual Rock that followed them. (Deut 32:49-51/ 1 Cor 10:4)

1 Corinthians 10:4: And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and the Rock was Christ.
