Was this a miracle or a natural sweetener? (Exodus 15:25)
25 "And he cried to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a log, and he threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. There the Lord made for them a statute and a rule, and there he tested them."

NKJV - 1 Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and spoke, saying: "I will sing to the LORD, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea! 2 The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father's God, and I will exalt Him.

Dear Anonymous, it was a miracle! In the Old and the New Covenant God performed miracles as a means of getting His people to put their faith in His Word, power, and His character. Moses, who was a type of Christ, was sent back to Egypt as a deliverer for the children of Israel. Moses was afraid because he didn't believe that they would believe that he was sent by the LORD. So, Yahweh used the staff of Moses to perform miracles so that they would believe, and most importantly He said, "Tell them, 'I AM has sent me to you.'" May I encourage you to read the account in Exodus chapter 3! And lastly, in the Gospels we see Yeshua/Jesus who came as the Prophet that Moses spoke about in Deuteronomy 18:18, sent by God to speak to Israel, and to deliver them from the power of sin and death. What we see in the Old Testament was a foreshadow of Jesus Christ for the redemption of mankind, who also performed miracles so that they would know that He was sent by God and the Messiah. See John 8:1-58.
