It won’t. God will not make it so your calling interferes with your marriage.

If I may suggest, pray continually that God makes His desires yours. I’m sure He will and you will find your calling.

As was stated in the aforementioned answer, it will not.

I have a dear Christian friend who’s been saved, as l’ve been, for 50 years. He and his dear wife had about five children and all seemed well in their marriage until after the fifth child was born. My friend loved (and loves) the Lord with all of his heart, soul and strength; however, he had his priorities mixed up.

The proper order in a marriage is God first, family second and ministry last, which our pastor preached from the podium. When my friend sensed a problem brewing in his marriage he went to counseling with the pastor, who counseled him to put his wife and family BEFORE his ministry. Unfortunately, he didn’t take it to heart and his marriage ended up in divorce. His wife then moved out to her family’s home state and remarried.

My friend has an awesome ministry here in his home state, bringing many people to Jesus; however, he lost a good marriage to a wonderful woman of God. Is that really worth it? His children and grandchildren are now suffering the effects of the divorce, although both parents love them all dearly.

Please, please remember: God WILL NOT expect you to put your ministry BEFORE your wife or husband and your family, EVER! He loves you all and wants the best for you.

Your marriage is your calling. Make sure you honour it and honour the person you married above all personal inclinations.

Best wishes,
Philip
