Has the book of Amos been fulfilled or is it a reference to end times?

Amos 1:1 - 15

ESV - 1 The words of Amos, who was among the shepherds of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel, two years before the earthquake. 2 And he said: "The Lord roars from Zion and utters his voice from Jerusalem; the pastures of the shepherds mourn, and the top of Carmel withers.

"If anyone is destined for captivity, to captivity he goes; if anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed. Here is the perseverance and the faith of the saints." (Revelation 13:10).

When we read any scriptural prophecy, we need to remind ourselves that the sacred words are emanating from a holy and eternal Being to Whom time essentially does not exist.

To GOD, everyone 'lives' as much now as ever, (Luke 20:38), and their good or evil remains ever before Him. Time does not 'dull' or 'enhance' their deeds and GOD does not 'forget' anything or find it less relevant with the passage of time.

To Him, what a man did in Gaza 3,000 years ago appears before Him in EXACTLY the same way what I am writing this very instant. The scripture I cited above in Revelation 13 applies to EVERYONE throughout human history, and if the 'issues' involved have not been satisfactorily resolved into justice, you can count on the fact that they are part of 'eschatology,' (that is, the total elements comprising the full narrative of the 'end times').

It is clear to me from scripture that GOD still sees the 'descendants' of certain men as the 'man' himself, just as He addresses 'Jacob' when referring to physical Jews, or 'Edom' when referring to the physical line of Esau, (which now includes anyone caught in evil inspirations like his, Hebrews 12:16).

The entire 'spirit of antichrist' is viewed as a 'wandering nation' and the descendants of Cain, with his infamous 'mark' placed upon them for identification. According to scripture, this manifestation of 'Cain' will someday include every human inhabiting earth who is not 'sealed in their forehead' by the Holy Spirit, (identifying them as belonging to Christ, Revelation 7:3, Revelation 20:4).

So as we read any prophecy like we find in Amos, we will see many such 'stories' unfolding and not all of them will be 'resolved' in the same way, at the same time, or with the same methods. That is why you will not likely see any particular historical event satisfying all the forms of 'justice' involved. Some of it has already been 'addressed' and some of the 'fugitives' have escaped justice repeatedly, joining the 'spiritual' rebellions of other 'men.'

Nevertheless, you can count on that fact that EVERY person will face GOD's justice in this current age first, which is why there will be a 'millennial' period where Christ reigns on this present earth, including an 'Armageddon' event when the last concentration of evil men all work together to 'take back earth.'

Christ Himself will deal directly with those men, balancing all 'temporal' and 'earthly' accounts before the 'Great Day of the Lord,' which is when all divine accounts will also be addressed. All beings, (both good and evil), will stand before the Throne for judgment, afterwards heaven and earth themselves will be 'judged' and replaced with the promised 'Home of Righteousness' and evil will be separated from it forever across an untraversable chasm.

Jesus even makes clear that before this day, 'cities' themselves will face a 'temporal' judgment for their deeds, (Luke 10:13-16).

That is why I believe that just prior to the 'millennial' reign of Christ, Christians will be 'orchestrating' this judgment with the Lord from 'just above' the earth as described in 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, 'rearranging' the world through 'renditions' of men, separating them back out into 'good' and 'evil' to face judgment as 'cities.'

Afterwards, there will be nothing but 'unwalled villages' residing in peace and ruled from Jerusalem. So what Amos is describing could also be references to these 'revived cities,' but now including 'descendants,' (both physical and 'spiritual'), whom GOD views as part of those same ongoing evil inspirations and influences.

They will no longer be able to 'hide' among us. The 'sheep' and the 'goats' will be known, the 'wheat' and the 'tares' will be known. Once 'rearranged,' the earth will be 'fit' to receive the Lord.

Amos 3:11: Therefore thus saith the Lord God; An adversary there shall be even round about the land: and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be spoiled.

Today, we witness the “Adversary” leading nations to rise against nations and kingdoms against kingdoms. Amos the Shepherd was shown secrets, as Daniel was shown, of what shall occur in the latter days. The time of the end is marked by a vision that shall come to pass: a city that went out by a thousand shall be left with a hundred, and that which went forth of a hundred shall be left with ten in the house of Israel. (Dan 2:28/8:17/Amos 5:3) The adversary has led them to steer their mind, in anger all around, and being hated by all nations, the promised land that was given to Abraham. Now, as we see, wars and rumors of wars that have begun, nations rising against nations, kingdoms against kingdoms. There are famines and pestilence and earthquakes that have begun in diverse places. This is the beginning of the sorrows of the end times revealed to us by our Lord Jesus. (Mat 24:7-9)

During this time now, one needs to hold on to their strength, in their right spirit, witnessing the destruction of your places. Amos the shepherd was shown by God the Father, the “prudent who are the wise shall keep silence during this time,” for it is an evil time. For the ones who seek good and not evil, that you may live, for the Lord, God of hosts, shall be with you. (Amos 5:13-14) Many shall be betrayed and hated for His name's sake, our Lord Jesus, but there shall not a hair of your head shall perish, but in your patience, you will possess your souls. When you shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, know that the desolation therefore is nigh; those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let not them that are in the country enter thereinto. For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written will be fulfilled. Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times to be fulfilled. (Luk 21:16-24)

For the end shall come to pass upon my people, says the Lord, for there shall be many dead bodies in every place who shall be cast forth with silence. Then shall the sun go down at noon and the earth be darkened in the clear day, for the Lord then shall send a famine in the land, not of bread and thirst, but hearing the words of the Lord. As these signs shall be seen of the sun, moon, stars, upon the earth, having of the sea, the waves roaring, for men’s heart shall fail after those things which are coming on the earth. (Amos 8:2-3,9,11/Luk 21:24-26) For then the eyes of the Lord God shall be upon the sinful kingdom, and He shall sift the house of Israel among all nations. The powers of heaven then shall be shaken, and then shall they see in a cloud with power and great glory the things that shall come to pass. For the ones who seek good and not evil, shall look up and into the clouds for your redemption draweth nigh, that is the rapture of the church. (Amos 9:8-9/ Luke 21:27-28)

Amos 8:11: Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord.
