The so-called Spear of Destiny is just another useless Roman artifact romanticized by certain non-Christians to justify their unjust, violent viewpoints.The false beliefs surrounding the Spear of Destiny are based on a generally true idea that enough of the right kind of violence will destroy anything of material or spiritual significance. It reminds me of the old adage "too much of a good thing can kill you", but the occultists replace the word 'good' with 'bad.' If the Spear of Destiny legends were actually true then Satan could give the possessor unrivaled power to rule over the world, especially all Christian lands and populations, and even anywhere Christ is recognized, such as in Islam, for a temporary period of time. Satan hasn't actually attempted this yet, but will in the future under the 10-horned beast. The 10-horned beast represents the greatest attempt in human history to destroy all belief in God through overwhelming violence. Although the 10-horned beast is given the power of the dragon (Rev 13:2) over all kindreds, tongues and nations (Rev 13:7) yet he does not have rule over the kings of the east who engage him in final battle (Rev 16:12). Satan has never had and never will have total control of the entire planet, only certain portions of it. He has always been no more than second best to the one sitting on the throne in heaven. God does not abandon his own and will fight victoriously to destroy those who attempt to conquer the world (Rev 19:11-21). The way to peace is not through the spear or the sword, but only through the prince of peace and obedience to his commandments.

God absolutely does not want objects worshipped or any “powers” attributed to them. In II Kings 18:4 good king Hezekiah destroyed the pole with the snake on it from the time of the desert incident of the serpents biting the people...some 800 years before! Along with their Asherah poles they had been worshipping the object, and not its meaning. Jesus told us the meaning of the pole in John 3:14: “As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up;...”
