As Solomon did not follow God in his latter years, but worshipped Baal, would he have gone to heaven?

1 Kings 11:1 - 43

ESV - 1 Now King Solomon loved many foreign women, along with the daughter of Pharaoh: Moabite, Ammonite, Edomite, Sidonian, and Hittite women. 2 From the nations concerning which the Lord had said to the people of Israel, "You shall not enter into marriage with them, neither shall they with you, for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods." Solomon clung to these in love.

Solomon wrote the book of Ecclesiastes, and the song of Solomon. They were both written by inspiration of God.

Solomon only asked God for wisdom to rule the land of Israel fairly. Since He only asked for wisdom, God said he would withold nothing from Solomon.

Solomon became the richest man who ever lived. He had 300 wives and I think 700 concubines.

He had more gold and horses than anyone on earth. Solomon was Gods choice to be the king of Israel. God had a purpose in it that we may never know this side of heaven.

We are all sinners. Romans 3:23. I am sure David His earthly Father told him of the coming of Messiah who would pay the debt for the sins of the whole world. First John 2:2.

Kind David, His father wrote Romans 4:6-8. David was a sinner like all of us. He committed adultery and premeditated murder.

We all deserve to go to hell. First John 1:8. But Jesus died to pay for the sins of the whole world, so that anyone who would accept His free gift of eternal life would be saved from hell and go to heaven. John 5:24.

The old testament saints were looking forward to the cross while we look back to the cross.

John 3:16-18. First Corinthians 15:1-4. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, BUT, the GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus one blood sacrifice paid for all of Solomons sin. He is in heaven. God cannot lie. John 3:18. John 6:47.

If Jesus had not gone to the cross, no one could have been saved. Man can do nothing to save himself. Jesus paid the debt we owe God and set us free from the penalty of sin.

Believers will be judged in heaven at the judgement seat of Christ for rewards in heaven, First Corinthians 3:11-15, but the GIFT of God is eternal life. No one can earn heaven.

Romans 3:26-28. Jesus paid it all and we paid 0. You cannot boast in 0. Romans 11:6. All grace apart from any works. Romans 4:5. Faith alone apart from the deeds of the law.

Solomon also wrote the book of Proverbs. I had forgotten that.
