When I pray in the spirit, how do I know my prayers are answered?

If I don’t know what I’m praying about, how can I know my prayers are being answered?

Ephesians 6:18

NKJV - 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints -

I think you would know your prayer(s) are answered if you prayed for something specific, such as a healing from sickness; a particular home/job; or of an understanding. You can even pray that God open your mind to allow you to pray and to know that whatever you prayed for has been answered.

Good question! I believe that when praying in the Spirit, you DO know what you are praying about.

For example, a coworker recently asked me to pray for the sister of his girlfriend who has had colon cancer, and it spread to her lymph nodes. So I prayed for her, and the report just given was that it has been cured, and she doesn't have to go back for more tests for 6 months!

A born-again Christian can pray in two ways: in their own language or in the Spirit. When I wake up, usually in the early morning hours, l go into prayer and praise to my Heavenly Father. I often start in English, lifting Him up in prayer and thankfulness for what He’s done in my life and many others, then I begin to worship Him both in my own tongue and in the Spirit. I also sing to Him in the Spirit, which is very uplifting and edifying to my own spirit! I will ask the Lord in English, first, my prayer requests, and then pray in the Spirit (which connects my spirit to God’s and which the devil will not understand). So, you know and God knows what you’re saying, and He will give you the answers to your prayers as long as you ask in Jesus’s name according to Father God’s will. It’s that simple!
