What (if anything) does the Bible say about accidentally breaking a fast?


I am struggling to find any feedback or scripture relating to the accidental breaking of a fast. Whilst preparing my toddlers dinner I peeled off a bit of skin from his baked potato and ate it. The day before this I used my mouth to check the temperature of his cannelloni. Both instances completely accidental. Any perspectives on this?
