What does it mean in the verse says that the man shall be saved himself as by fire? Does that mean that he shall escape hell and go to Heaven?

1 Corinthians 3:15

NKJV - 15 If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

Great question, Teri!

Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 3:10 Using the grace God gave me, I laid a foundation, like a skilled master-builder; and another man is building on it. But let each one be careful how he builds. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Yeshua the Messiah. 12 Some will use gold, silver or precious stones in building on this foundation; while others will use wood, grass or straw. 13 But each one's work will be shown for what it is; the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire - the fire will test the quality of each one's work. 14 If the work someone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward; 15 if it is burned up, he will have to bear the loss: he will still escape with his life, but it will be like escaping through a fire.

Surely, this doesn't mean hell because 1 Corinthians 3:15 assures us that each worker will be saved, even if he loses a reward. Warren Wiersbe NT Commentary Bethel

So, yes, it means he shall escape hell and go to Heaven. but what will be his capacity for enjoying Heaven? Will it not be like a 15 Watt light bulb (without rewards) compared to a 300 Watt light bulb if only he had earned some rewards?

John 3:18 Believers are no longer condemned, but unbelievers are condemned already because they have not believed on the name of the Son of God.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, that WHOSOEVER believeth in Him, should not perish, but HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.

There are rewards in heaven for believers. First Corinthians 3:11-15. Gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble.

Believers all have eternal life. First John 5:13. But our rewards in heaven are based on our works after we are saved.

Good works can never save a sinner, but good works for the believer will be rewarded in heaven.

Colossians 3:1-3. Lay up treasure in heaven where moth and rust do not corrode. We are dead, and our life is Hidden with God in heaven. We just have not experienced it yet.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, and we all sin, First John 1:8, and we all die, but the GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. First John 2:2. For He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world.
