Is Psalm 17:15 talking about resurrection or some divine visitation/mystical encounter?
15 As for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness; when I d awake, I shall be satisfied with your likeness.

ESV - 1 Hear a just cause, O Lord ; attend to my cry! Give ear to my prayer from lips free of deceit! 2 From your presence let my vindication come! Let your eyes behold the right!

I believe that the writer of Psalm 17:15 is simply saying that God is his strength and his peace, the One he trusts and feels safe with. If you read chapter 18, I think you’ll see that in the first few verses.

In my opinion, David says that the reward for those who look to God is not only in this life but an eternal one. He is looking forward to the future blessing of seeing God. This can be only in the glorified state, for in this body (of sin) it would not be good news. What he sees is the completion of the salvation. Grace to you!

Some see in this verse an allusion to resurrection. According to this view, when the psalmist awakens from the sleep of death, he will see God. (Bible.org) In my opinion, I do NOT think in Psalm 17:15 that David is talking about some divine visitation or mystical encounter. Compare this passage to Isaiah 26:19: "Your dead shall live; together with my dead body they shall arise. “Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; for your dew is like the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out its dead." Dew is a picture of new life and blessings. Hosea 14:5: "I will be like dew to Israel; He shall grow like the lily, and lengthen his roots like Lebanon." Lebanon was really big, check out Joshua 13:5, 6. 1 John 3:2: "Beloved now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be. But we know we shall be like Him, and we shall see Him as He is." I would say that David is declaring his faith in the resurrection.
