History is all events that have happened before now. You cannot go forward with out knowing from where you came. Knowing the History of the Church, which includes the way it started and believes and purposes and destinations will add the foundations to your destinations. With Jesus Christ as the founder and the Rock that our Church is built on, the path is clear to our final destination with God. The Holy Spirit gave us the Bible to know who God and Jesus are and God gave us Jesus Christ, whom is the Truth, the Way and the Life of our Salvation.

A prophet by permission of the Holy Spirit...If history has taught us anything it has taught us that "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God", the church is no exception.
Jesus came to correct and re-connect the church with God, and the church persecuted him. We are given His word(the bible) as a starting point to unviel the history and mysteries of our transgressions against God and hopefully we wont repeat the sins of the past, which have been many.
Unfortunately if we only dwell on the revelations of the past we will not be in position to receive any new revelations from God. Just as the Jews were looking for a messiah-warrior-king who would rid the world of sin by war and what they got was a Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
