Why is Jesus' resurrection, mentioned in Matthew 28:6, the key to the Christian faith?

Matthew 28:1 - 10

ESV - 1 Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it.

The sacrificial shedding of Jesus's blood on the cross paid the penalty demanded by God for the sins of all humanity, but it was His resurrection to live forever (which was a unique historical event, and unlike the "temporary" resurrections that Jesus performed during His earthly ministry -- including (as a minimum) Jairus' daughter; the son of the widow of Nain; and Lazarus -- or that were performed by other Biblical figures such as Elijah (1 Kings 17:17-23)), that validated the sufficiency of that sacrifice in God's sight. As Paul explained in 1 Corinthians 15:12-34, if Christ was not raised in that manner, our faith in Him is futile, and we are still under God's condemnation because of our sin.

No one else was ever raised from the dead by His Father in heaven. No other prophet or historical figure was ever raised from the dead.

Jesus was raised from the dead for our justification. Since He was raised from the dead, we also shall be raised from the dead.

First Thessalonians 4:13-18. All of our friends who were believers who have died, will be raised from the dead at the resurrection. First Thessalonians 4:13-14.

There soul/spirit is in heaven now, but their new spiritual bodies will be raised at the rapture of the church.

We are to comfort one another with these words. Verse 18.

Ephesian 1:13-14 is our guarantee of eternal life. Ephesians 4:30. And grieve not the Holy Spirit in whom ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

All believers have eternal life. John 3:18. John 6:40. And this is the will of Him who sent me, that ALL that seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up on the last day. The last day of grace. Romans 11:6. All grace, no works. Free GIFT from God.

First John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETRNAL LIFE.

If you have eternal life now, then you will still have it 1,000 years from now because it is eternal, John 10:28-29 And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. And my Father who is greater than all, no one can pluck them out of His hand.

Acts 15:31 Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved and thy house. The one blood sacrifice of Jesus covers us from all sin forever. John 3:18 John 3:36. Believers have eternal life, but unbelievers are under the wrath of God because they have not believed on the name of the Son of God.

The resurrection, the core of Christianity, is not some vague moral teaching. Rather, it confronts us with the curse of sin, the certainty of judgment, the reality of death, and individual eternal destiny. As such, it has real implications for our lives. (Heb 9:27-8)

It's key because Jesus rose from the dead just as he promised: Matthew 28:6 "He [Jesus] is not here, for He has risen, as He said. Come, see the place where He lay."

(Matthew 12:40
For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Matthew 16:21
From that time on Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and that He must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.)

Matthew 27:63
"Sir," they said, "we remember that while He was alive that deceiver said, 'After three days I will rise again.'

Thus, we can have faith that He will do everything He said He would do, e.g. John 14:1-3 NLT

14 “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. 2 There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? 3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am."

I'm getting homesick for heaven already. How about you?
