Although the account of the fall of humanity into sin in Genesis indicates that Eve was actually the first individual to commit sin, the Bible consistently thereafter (in verses such Romans 5:12 and 1 Corinthians 15:21-22) refers to sin as having entered the world through Adam, and being passed down through the male line. That is why it is not necessary to view Mary as having been conceived without sin in order to have given birth to Jesus. Jesus' divinity and freedom from original sin was indicated and assured by the fact He was conceived through the action of God Himself, rather than through conception by a human male.

That is not to say that women are without sin. They are also sinners both by nature and by their actions. However, both a man and a woman contribute to any conception of new life, and it is through the man's contribution that the sin nature is passed.

❖ Absolutely, it is gender specific and is simply profound yet profoundly simple. Let us study from the scriptures and prove scientifically why Adam's leadership was crucial as it is an important topic.

God made mankind in His own image and gave dominion over all things on earth (Gen 1:26). This dominion included the sun, moon and stars (Ps. 8) before the fall.

❖ Well, Eve was first to disobey God; why was Eve was not held responsible? What is the rationale behind this truth?

➊ Adam was created first, NOT Eve. And recall the first anesthesia and major operation (Gen 2:21 cp. Gen. 15:12; 1Sam. 26:12; Dan. 8:18).. This is Paul's reason for stating the headship of men (1Tim. 2:11-14 2Cor. 11:3).

➋ God gave the only one commandment to Adam and He expected an "absolute obedience" from him as per Gen. 2:17. This commandment was given to Adam even BEFORE his partner, Eve was created in Gen. 2:21.

➌ God NEVER ever gave the same commandment stated in Gen. 2:17 to Eve as God honored Adam's leadership. Please bear in mind that "Leadership is NOT lordship over Eve".

➍ Adam & Eve were indeed made intellectually stronger and wiser as God gave them dominion over all things before the fall. Adam on day 1, even before Eve was created, was able to name all the animals, all creatures, and every beast of the field — within a day (Gen. 1:24-31; 2:7,19-25). Adam’s wisdom and knowledge was indeed extensive, and his language was fully developed, because he named all the beasts on earth, air and water, within a day.

➎ God created ALL men under ONE blood, and by Jesus were all things created (Col 1:16).
❖ “As is the FATHER, so is the SON”. The proverb resonates the fact that the Y chromosome passes from father to son (almost unchanged)
❖ The Y chromosome is mighty and UNIQUE and is only present in "male" genders, and Y-DNA is not found in females
❖ All men from Adam on earth carry the same Y-chromosome in their blood (Bible and science prove it)
❖ Male ancestors carry their Y-DNA along their FAMILY TREE, allowing us to trace the paternal ancestry by advanced Y-DNA tests

➏ The three headships in 1Cor. 11:3:
1. God is head of Christ.
2. Christ is head of man.
3. Man is head of woman--husband is the head of the wife,
and Adam's leadership role was carefully delegated to him.

➐ Eve was made as his perfect companion as God saw he was all alone. Without her he cannot replenish. She would be suitable intellectually, morally, and physically--as his lover or soul partner, and helper (Gen 2:18). She was taken from under his arm to be protected by him, and from near his heart to be loved by him.

➑ Scientifically Eve also carried the same blood with Adam because she was taken out from her. As Adam himself says, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh." (Gen 2:23 cp. Eph. 5:28-31.)

➒ Adam "regarded her as bone of his bones and flesh of his flesh," making two bodies and two souls in one body (one flesh). Christ Himself expounded this truth: man shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be UNITED as one flesh.(Mt. 19:5; Mk. 10:7; 1Cor. 6:16; Eph. 5:31). Since they are united as one, Eve's sin is attributed to Adam's failure in his leadership

➓ In Gen. 2: 21 the Lord God "took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof," which would surely require His presence with Adam at that time. Even though Adam was speaking to God face to face, still he failed.

⓫ Consider God calling only Adam in an audible voice and not Eve's name; this is to honor man's leadership. (Gen 3:9)

⓬ The phrase "with her" in Gen. 3:6 and Gen 3:12 affirms that Adam was with her and so without excuse (cp. 1Tim. 2:14). He should have spoken up and protected his mate and his dominion.

Thus, because of one sin, the whole race to be under the present curse that means "death" passed to all people because of Adam's sin (Gen. 2:17; Rom. 5:12-21). If he had not sinned, all people would have lived forever without dying.

A little background information first. Adam was mankind's federal head, which means God made him the commander-in chief of planet earth. God told Adam "Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.” (Gen 1:28b) This command was given before Eve was created.

God had Adam name all the animals that existed at that time (including dinosaurs) and he did it on the sixth day of creation. Quite a feat for one person to do in one day but Adam was using 100% of his brain, not 10% like we use today (due to the fall of mankind).

Since Adam was "The Big Kahuna," the fall of mankind and the blame for that sin was placed directly at his feet by God the Father and not at Eve's feet, even though Eve persuaded Adam to follow her into sin.

Theologians now had a problem. Mankind's sin nature is passed on to the child by the parents, (original sin) but Jesus did not have a sin nature. So the Roman Church came up with the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception. According to this doctrine Mary's parents were saved by God from original sin, therefore their child Mary was free of original sin! She was immaculately conceived! No sin nature could be passed on to Jesus because God, who was the Father of Jesus cannot; sin and since Mary also was not able to sin, Jesus was not able to sin! Problem solved! Uh not so fast. Nowhere in scripture does it say that Mary was sinless. In fact "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23. "All" includes Mary.

Protestant theologians solved the problem quite easily. The sin nature is passed on to his offspring only by the male and not the female. Jesus had no sin nature because God was His father and Eve cannot transmit the sin nature because she was not told by God to govern it [the Earth] or to reign over it; Adam was. Therefore Jesus had no sin nature.
