Mary of Bethany was an amazing example of what great improvement can be made for one who repents and accepts the lord Jesus as their savior. The first time we see her is when she enters a Pharisee's house and weeping at his feet and then wipes his feet with her tears. From that moment her life changed dramatically. What an example of humble submission to the lord Messiah Jesus that each and every one of us should follow at all times. Again we see her later in the gospel records only this time it is to listen to what her master has to say. Indeed, even as we should constantly listen to what our master and lord Jesus has to say to us individually. That is the command God gave to the apostles on the Mount of Transfiguration.... the last words God says to them is "Listen to him".
