Tradition says "women are to be silent in church" but I heard teaching that this was because women had to be separated from their husbands and because women tend to be "talkers" they used to talk loudly to their husbands across the church thus causing disruption. I do not have a problem with women teaching in the church. Listen to the women who preach today and check it against the bible. It is up to the listener to determine if it is in line with the bible or not. Women I listen to are spot on and at my church I do not have a female pastor but would not be opposed to it. This I believe is a cultural thing in the same line as do not keep your head uncovered in church...it was determined to be cultural in nature. Jesus removed all these cultural issues and brought women up removing all this cultural prejudice.
