Mormons are polytheists and Christians are Monotheists, as are the Jews. Every male Mormon, member of the priesthood in Mormonism is attempting to become a GOD. "I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no GOD". Isaiah 44:6.

Why should I (a Mormon) consider becoming a Christian?

Because you are in direct conflict with the Apostle Paul who said Galatians 2:7-9, "...there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I 'now again', if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that you have received, let him be accursed."

That's called double whammy, repeated the warning twice! That only means, listen!

He mentioned, "or an angel". Isn't Moroni an angel? Sure, and that should be concerning to anyone following said sect.

Paul went on to say that, "...the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ." Galatians 2:11,12.

That can not be said of the book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, The Pearl of Great Price. Nor the book of Abraham. They were not received like Paul's gospel. 

On this alone you should consider following Paul as he said in 1Corinthians 11:1, "Be you followers of me, even as I also am of Christ."

Romans 1:16, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes."

Don't end up ashamed with "..any other gospel...."!

Why you, a Mormon, should consider becoming a Christian:

Mormon is a religion and religion has done more harm than good in our society. 

Christianity is NOT a religion, it is the lifestyle of Christ. 

Religion is man's attempt to connect with God (sometimes through gods) while Christianity is God's attempt to connect with man through Christ. 

Religion teaches me to fear God with timidity, Christianity teaches me to fear God in love and obedience to His commands. 

Religion tells me to worship the Lord so that I can ward off evil, but Christianity tells me to worship the Lord because that's why I am created. 

Religion says I should put God's laws and commands in my head, Christianity says I should have God's Word engrafted in my heart and live by it. 

Religion tells me that salvation is the work of man, but Christianity makes me to realise that salvation is the work of God in man, given by grace.

Great question. It is a loaded question, and I am sure there is no complete way to answer it, but here goes my try. I sit down with Mormons who I have become friends with and we hash out these and many other questions with each other. 
Why should you become a Christian? That is a loaded question because some believe Mormons to be Christians and many do not.

The real call of Jesus was to pick up our cross and follow Him. That is why so many early Christians were martyred because they heard His call. 
Looking at Sacred Scripture, history and what saints throughout history had to say, the answer would be that you should repent (stop living for yourself) and live your whole life for the purpose of doing God’s will. This begins at baptism. Then you should join HIs Church. 

Now the question becomes- Which Church?
The early Christians established a creed (the Nicene Creed) and stated 4 specific marks of what makes up the Church that Jesus established.

1. It is One- it is a universal church, not a fractured group, or a geographically specific church, but it is worldwide in it’s scope

2. It is Holy- it is separate from the kingdoms of the world, and it is flowing from and returning to God. This Church exists to be united with God in His kingdom plan

3. It is catholic- Although I am a Catholic, this is not talking about The Roman Catholic Church, but is talking about the fact that the church that Christ established is united as one church, with no division, but is united as one church

4. It is apostolic- That is, it is in line with Apostolic succession and is in line with the teachings of the Apostles. Many churches make the claim of being descended from the apostles, but only one Church can prove it through historical documentation. 

But why is it important to be part of the Church that Christ established? In I Timothy 3:15 Paul states that the Church is the pillar and foundation of the truth. So, it is important to be united with the Church in order to know truth and to live it out, to be in the truth. 

Now we come back to your question- Why become a Christian? So, that you can fully follow Christ and be part of what He is doing in His One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. 

One last thought- the early Christians in their writings stated clearly that there is no salvation outside of the Church that Christ established, so ther further away from that Church we are, the more difficult it becomes to have the Truth of God.
