What happens if I die an alcoholic? Will I go to hell, even if I don't think it's bad that I drink because it brings me joy?

Help me understand,
1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Galatians 5:19-20
How the scripture works together

I am struggling to quit drinking
I know getting drunk is a sin.
I cry out to Jesus but i just keep choosing wrong
And these scriptures are saying no heaven for me
is it because I know it’s wrong and I still haven’t stopped

D A, the fact that you want to quit should give you peace. It is those who do not want to quit that should be concerned. Whether you actually ever quit or not is not Paul's point. Please read Romans chapter 7 to add context and realize that Paul (in the verses you cited) is referring to NON-believers.

You have 'fallen from grace'...NOT BECAUSE YOU CONTINUE TO SIN, but because you have forgotten that God already forgave you of your continued sins at the cross! God is NOT imputing our trespasses to us today. Use that fact to help you now live a more righteous life for Him. Remember what He did for you at the cross to help you in thinking twice before over-endulging going forward. It may not happen overnight, but recalling God's love for you (seen at the cross) is the power to prevail.

Do you drink to mask pain, regret, fear, guilt, shame, etc? Do you feel the need to be punished? Well, God doesn't want you to have these feelings. He needs you to be a strong spokesperson for others who are having these same feelings. The good news is that not only did Christ die for the forgiveness of ALL of our sins, He also bore all of the carnal pain on our behalf! We do not have to suffer ANY anguish of this life, as He alone suffered it ALL for us. When we believe this, we are then in Him and He in us. We were crucified with Him, buried with Him, but most importantly raised with Him in spiritual newness! God no longer sees who we see when we look in the mirror. He now sees Christ in us!
