Why does the Bible call divination (that is fortelling the future) abominable, yet people like Joseph and Daniel could interpret dreams by inspiration from God?

Deuteronomy 18:9-12

Deuteronomy 18:9 - 12

ESV - 9 When you come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations. 10 There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer

In my opinion, the ability to tell the future besides scientific methods and natural human senses is a supernatural ability that involves some sort of relationship with spirits.

As Christians we believe, that they are only two spiritual sides; God's and the devil's. Hence anyone telling the future via spiritual means is either doing it with the inspiration of God or the devil.

Our God does not want His children to have any relationship with the devil or his agents as the bible stated in Exodus 20:5, Deuteronomy 6:14 - 15 and 2 Corinthians 6:16. It is for this reason that God does not want His children and/or followers to tell the future with inspiration from the devil. In other words, whatever you do via the inspiration of God is fine and acceptable to Him.

Additionally, whatever you get from the devil and/or his agents are usually not for your good. And God does not want to see His children suffer from the deception and misleading of the devil.

I hope this response is helpful.
