What is wrong with being a grouchy giver? (as opposed to a "cheerful giver" in 2 Cor. 9:7) The job still gets done.

2 Corinthians 9:7

ESV - 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Can one still be a cheerful giver even when the money is misused?

How would the giver know if the money was misused? If I'm involved in trying to help people in need, and I allow some other people to get involved, and they contribute and act as if they don't trust the whole process, I'd tell them thanks but I don't want them to be involved with what I'm trying to do. People who act that way spoil the blessings for all concerned.

Ministry is gruelling enough as it is, trying to come alongside "hungry" people and pacify grumblers is much too much... It's a privilege for God to allow us to help each other. MANY, MANY people don't know it. If God gives us enough and we want to keep it all, then we can keep it all..JSYK we don't have anything that God didn't give us.

That would be hard. Can you say something to "the powers that be" or are you not the confrontational type?
