As an idiom, "saving grace" refers to a "redeeming quality" that makes a person or a thing acceptable. But that is not the biblical meaning. The word grace in the Bible means "unmerited divine assi...

Saving grace is the all sufficiency of Christ's sacrifice once and for all for all sin to every one who believes. Romans 1:16

It is believing the gospel, that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, that He was buried and rose again on the third day, according to the scriptures.

When we receive the free gift of salvation by grace, we are given the Holy Spirit who seals us unto the day of redemption. That salvation is a free gift from God to everyone who believes it. Romans 1:16 To the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Two of the greatest verses in the bible on God's grace are given in Romans 4:6-8: Even as David also describeth the man to whom God imputeth righteousness without works. Saying, blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

That is grace. He imputes His perfect righteousness to us, and takes all of our sins. And all we have to do is believe it one time. It is an event, not a process. We receive the free gift of God's grace. We are given eternal life the minute we believe and received the seal of the Holy Spirit.

God's grace is the declaration to everyone who believes that they are righteous in God's sight even though we are still sinners. And it is the gift of the Holy Spirt who seals us for heaven.

John 1:12 But as many as received Him to them gave He power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on His name. Grace is receiving the free gift of God through Christ's redemption of our soul/spirit.

Once we believe we are born into Gods family. Born again, born of God. Grace is the Holy Spirit living in us who will never leave us or forsake us. Hebrews 13:5 Grace is John 6:37 He will never cast us out.

Grace is John 10:28-29 And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. And my Father who is greater than all, no one can pluck them out of HIs hand.

We are all sinners. We all deserve to go to hell. But, Jesus, just because He loved us took the punishment we deserve before God so that we would never have to go to hell to pay for our sins. Jesus paid them all and gives us eternal life as a free gift the minute we believe it.

Romans 11:6 It is all grace without works. A free gift from God.

AMAZING GRACE, JESUS PAID IT ALL AND WE PAID 0. IT IS FREE.

Now we can read this verse with JOY unspeakable. First John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believe on HIm that sent me, HATH EVERLASTING LIFE, and shall not come into judgement, but is passed from death unto life.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world (everybody) that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus), that WHOSOEVER (anybody) BELIEVETH in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. Jesus said it, I believe it, and that my friends is grace beyond measure.
