The main problem with the church is that it became an organization. Organizations attract all kinds of people. The Lord Jesus and his Father calls souls out of the darkness of unbelief and into the light of the love that God has for those who are in Christ. The Father calls us to the Son and the Son sends the Holy Spirit to abide with the newborn believer in the Son.

Anyone with 'pastor' on their name tag who doesn't believe this is a wolf wearing a wool suit. There's no way to call yourself a believer if you don't believe the good news gospel!

This "time of doubt" that Mr Houdmann excuses isn't spoken of by anyone who put pen to scripture. It isn't mentioned anywhere in the Bible. I don't even know what that means!

Believers are BORN!

The church became an organization made up of "christians." That's where the problem (singular) began. Anyone can join an organization. NO ONE CAN JOIN God! He either indwells you or he doesn't. God doesn't call everybody to himself. The Pharaoh of Egypt was created to do exactly what he did when he refused to honor God.

Paul told Timothy about these "false teachers." He said, 'some had strayed, turned aside to fruitless discussion, wanting to be teachers of the Law...' (1 Tim 1:6,7)

That's all a false convert can do: beat the sheep over the head with the book of the law. Threaten weak and broken people with eternal suffering, and cause them to pretend to be something that they can never be on their own: justified.
