All our works, which include giving, visiting the sick, praying, praising God, all..... Reason is that we are sinners, not good people, God's enemies, and nothing good can come out of bad. But through Jesus Christ our Lord we were reconciled to God our father, and his blood washed us of our unrighteousness and gave us a new nature like him as a result of our new birth.
