Satan's fall from heaven is symbolically described in Isaiah 14:12-14 and Ezekiel 28:12-18. While these two passages are referring specifically to the kings of Babylon and Tyre, they also reference...

The fall of Satan occurred sometime before the fall of man.

The fall from heaven or more accurately he was cast out and cast down to earth.

Revelation 12:1-10
Chapter 12
1 Now a great sign appeared in heaven:a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. 2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.
3 And another sign appeared in heaven:behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. 4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. 5 She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. 6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.
Satan Thrown Out of Heaven
7 And war broke out in heaven:Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “ Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

This occurred right after Jesus ascended into heaven sat upon His throne V.5 and ushered in the kingdom of God V.10

Jesus anticipated this
Luke 10:18
And He said to them, “ I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

Jesus told us why it was necessary
Matt.12:28-29
But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. 29 Or how can one enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.

The binding of Satan and the fallen angels as mentioned in Rev. 20:1-3, 2 Peter 2:4, Jude 6
The outpouring of the Holy Spirit Acts 1:4
Jesus seated upon the throne of David
Acts 2:30-35
Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, 31 he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption. 32 This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses. 33 Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.
34 “ For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself:
‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“ Sit at My right hand,
35 Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”

If the inspired Biblical writers tell us that an event that occurs is the fulfillment of a prophecy
we must accept it as true even if it doesn’t fit our system of interpretation.

We must let Scripture interpret itself comparing scripture with scripture.

Satan was cast out of heaven at the beginning of the great controversy, when he rebelled against God’s government. He wanted to seize God’s throne in heaven and to be “like the most High” (Isa. 14:12-15). He stood in open revolt against God but was defeated and exiled on earth. However, by deceiving Adam and Eve, Satan usurped Adam’s rule over this world (Luke 4:6). As the self-proclaimed ruler of this world (John 12:31), Satan claimed the right to attend the heavenly council as earth’s representative (Job 1:6-12). However, since his defeat at the cross, Satan and his fallen angels have been confined to the earth as a prison, until they receive their punishment (2 Pet. 2:4, Jude 6).

Revelation 12 provides a dramatic overview of the great controversy
between Christ and Satan. Given in three major scenes,
hat are not in chronological order, the chapter provides the
basic background of a conflict that involves every one of us (no one is
neutral in this war).
Verses 1-6 focus upon Satan's attack on earth, first against the
Christ-child and then against Christ's church, which has to flee into
the wilderness for "one thousand two hundred and sixty days" (vs. 6,
NKJV).
Verses 7-12 focus upon the original war in heaven, when Satan
first rebelled and with his fallen angels fought against Christ, a battle
they lost.
Verses 13-17 focus back on the earth, where Satan, cast out of
heaven, continues his war against Christ (whom he was unable to
defeat) by attacking Christ's church, the next best thing to attacking
Christ Himself.

Though Satan stands condemned, he has yet to be thrown down. Yoshua defeated him by walking out the WORD of His Father perfectly John 17:17-19. But he is not thrown down until the offspring of Yoshua are sanctified as was Yoshua becoming one with the Father and Son (John 17:20-23).

Yoshua describes His offspring in the letters to the seven churches saying they will rule alongside Him with an iron sceptre. The birth of the offspring of Yoshua are described in Revelation 12:1-5. The child represents righteousness that walks in obedience to the Father as did Yoshua and tramples the wicked as described by Malachi 4:1-6.

Just as the beast is about to devour the child, the child is raptured. It’s then that Satan is thrown down as described in Revelation 12:6-13. Though many believe the child the woman is birthing is Yoshua, the beast with seven heads and ten horns doesn’t exist until the end of days. The woman’s pain is caused by being refined though the WORD of GOD. Matthew 3:11-12, Isaiah 48:10, Daniel 12:10, Zechariah 13:7-9.
