If the fear of man is on all beasts, why do some animals not fear humans? Proverbs 30:30
God told Noah that “The fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth.” (Gen. 9:2). However, this seems to not be the case, for even Proverbs 30:30 admits that the lion “does not turn away from any.” Is this a contradiction?
Prov. 30:29 “There are three things that are stately in their stride,
four that move with stately bearing:
30 a lion, mighty among beasts,
who retreats before nothing;
Genesis 9:2
ESV - 2 The fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth and upon every bird of the heavens, upon everything that creeps on the ground and all the fish of the sea. Into your hand they are delivered.

The bible is not easily understood, and that is intentional.It is a collection of truths that are almost impossible to believe at face value. It's written that way on purpose.
What good does it do mankind to get a good understanding of what makes a lion tick? It does us no good, so it's not hard to figure that the lion is probably not the focus of what's being said. It's an adage, a universally accepted principle. Everybody knows that a lion is fearless. Or is he? The bible says that every bird and beast is fearful of man, lions included (Gen 9). So which is it?
If both are true, then the bible is not easily understood. Or is it?
"And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the scriptures" (Luke 24:45). This text should be written in all CAPS.
"You search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me" (John 5:39). The bible isn't about birds and lions, it all pertains to the Lord, and His love for mankind.
Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand all things (Prv 28:5) All things? Is that to be argued about for it's literal content? If it can be proven that Charles Spurgeon, Dwight Moody, or Jonathan Edwards didn't understand ALL things, does that prove the bible can't be relied on? Would that cast doubt on the resurrection or the eminent return of the Christ for His Church?
I think that's what's meant by "evil men don't understand justice." Why should He come..?
