I believe both of these answers have merit. I think the difference is uncontrollable laughter. I had an experience as a child, on a visit to my grandparents. I was maybe 8 years old and on arriving to their home I started laughing uncontrollably, I couldn’t go into their home this way. It would be disrespectful, as it would be to behave this way in church. It never happened again.
I also suffer from depression & anxiety and find it refreshing when it lifts and I can enjoy laughter again. I consider moments like these a great blessing, Praise God.
