"Spirit Guides" do not exist on any level. There is only one "spirit" and that is God in the person of the Holy Spirit. Paul talks of people inspired by evil in Second Corinthians 11:14-15. The same can be said of 1 John 4:1. Our nature to sin must be resisted at all times. If you seek guidance in Scripture and prayer, you will be triumphant. God is more powerful than every other force in your life. 1 John 4:4
