Are the prophesies of all true prophets ALWAYS fulfilled?
Seems as though many are “prophesying” in these scary times, but sometimes the “prophets” go “Oops. I misunderstood,” or “even though I said thus-and-so & it didn’t happen, turns out its NOT happening is even better,” etc... Seems I remember being taught that real prophets always get it right because they really did hear it from God.

I would say that, as far as Biblical prophecy, there was unconditional prophecy (which would always come true if the prophet was truly speaking on God's behalf (Deuteronomy 18:21-22) -- although the time or manner in which it would be fulfilled might not coincide with human expectation or interpretation (Matthew 17:10-13)), and conditional prophecy that might or might not come true, based on events (even if this condition were not explicitly stated in the prophecy itself) (such as Jonah's prophetic message to Nineveh of its coming destruction, from which God relented when the people repented (Jonah 3:10); or King Ahab's repentance in response to Elijah's prophecy of the judgment that God intended to bring upon him, which caused God to spare Ahab, and bring the judgment upon Ahab's son instead (1 Kings 21:20-29)). Also, true prophecies from God will never conflict with clear commandments in the Bible, even if the individual who makes them is able to show seemingly miraculous or supernatural "proofs" of his authenticity (Deuteronomy 13:1-3).

Yes, the prophesies of true prophets always come true. Here are some proof verses: Deuteronomy 18:22 If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed. Jeremiah 28:9 But the prophet who prophesies peace will be recognized as one truly sent by the Lord only if his prediction comes true. ” Ezekiel 33:33 “When all this comes true—and it surely will—then they will know that a prophet has been among them. ” Matthew 7:15-20 15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. Revelation 22:6 The angel said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God who inspires the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place.” It is vital that we differentiate between the prophets God called to communicate the messages recorded in the bible and modern day believers who are exercising their gift of prophecy. The biblical prophets were all called by God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and given exactly the message God wanted to deliver. Jesus was the last biblical prophet and his last messsge was the book of Revelation. All the messages of biblical prophets who were called by God have come true or will come true in the future (end times). Modern day prophecy in the church is not infallible. Prophets can be confused in hearing from God because of their own sin or due to some other deception from the world or Satan. Prophecy in the church today is intended for the benefit of individual believers and/or local churches. These prophetic words do not have universal application for the entire church. Church leaders need to examine local prophetic words and prayerfully apply them to their local situation in complete harmony with the clear teachings of scripture.
