If humans can be possessed by demons, and can seemingly thereby control humans, it seems they must surely be in the mind and therefore able to read and control human thought...can't they?

I don't know about anyone else, but no, a demon can't control my mind or anything else about me. I have the Spirit of God, the power that raised Jesus from the grave, living in me. I am the righteousness of God in Christ. No! A demon has absolutely no power here!!
