Will there be any need for the Holy Spirit to dwell within us when we get to heaven? If not, what will be the role of the Holy Spirit in heaven?

Paul spoke in Ephesians 1:13-14 of the Holy Spirit's presence within Christians during their earthly lives as the "earnest" (or "down payment", if you will) of the full redemption that believers will experience in the world to come. In eternity, the redeemed will be in the very presence of the Triune God in all His fullness and glory, and (in my opinion) will be experiencing Him and filled with Him in ways that we cannot even conceive of in this life. In that setting, I believe that the Holy Spirit will continue to glorify Jesus. As He helped the redeemed on earth to pray to the Father and the Son (Romans 8:26), He will then assist them in offering praise and thanksgiving to God forever.

Jesus said the role of the Holy Spirit while we are here on earth is to bring to remembrance the things Jesus said (John 14:25-26), testify about Jesus (John 15:26), convict the world of sin (John 16:8), guide believers into all truth (John 16:13), tell believers what is yet to come (John 16:13), and bring glory to Jesus by making known to believers who Jesus really is (John 16:14). The Holy Spirit gives strength to believers in their fight against sin (Gal 5:16-25), which would be impossible to overcome through human efforts (Rom 8:1-17). He helps believers to pray when they don’t know how to pray as they should (Rom 8:26) and He comforts believers so that they can comfort others (2 Cor 1:4). He bears witness in believers that they are the children of God (Rom 8:15-16), and that there is a guarantee of final redemption (Rom 8:23). In view of the transition of believers to a world without sin, perfect knowledge and entrance into the very presence of God, many of these roles within believers will no longer be needed. However, Jesus will continue to be glorified in heaven, and the Holy Spirit will continue to be a part of that process, as He always has. So I believe that the Holy Spirit will continue to help believers worship.
