First, I've been a Christian since 1972. My son died by suicide at age 22. He'd never had depression his entire life until about a year before he died. No one knew why he became depressed, even himself, although he'd never admit he was depressed, clinically depressed. He served honourably in the Honor Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in DC. He got sick just like anyone gets sick with cancer or any debilitating illness. Drugs and psychotherapy didn't help. He could not handle the depression at age 22 and took his own life.

For hundreds of years some churches said suicide was the unforgivable sin. My son was a Christian from a young lad. He taught Sunday School about a year before he died. I believe Jesus died for all sin and according to the way I read the bible, the only unforgivable sin is the rejection of the Son of God. My son didn't do that. I know after falling at the feet of my Savior some great day, I'll get to hug and kiss my son again and for an eternity!

Don't believe those who commit suicide are lost. They died from a serious illness, and a serious sin, neither of which are able to pluck them out of the hands of Jesus and the Father, even their own act done while sick. John 10:28-30. John 6:37-40. Two very important scriptures! Eternal life is eternal. God knows the end from the beginning, Isaiah 46:10.

Did he grant my son eternal life when he believed Jesus was his Lord? Yes. Did God know my son would die from suicide? Yes. Did God therefore change his mind and subsequently cancel his promise? No! If he then cancelled that eternal life, by definition it was never eternal in the first place. My God can not lie, Titus 1:2, so I rest assured my son is in the presence of Jesus now and I'll see him soon!

Larry, I believe your son is with Jesus and will be with Him in all eternity.
You say for hundreds of years some churches have said suicide is unforgivable. You are right;
churches have said that but God has not said it. The Bible reads that the only unforgivable sin is “ the rejection of the Holy Spirit.
I am sorry that your son chose to leave you that way but I believe in all my soul that he is ok now.

We don’t know what caused this person to comment suicide, so much is going on in schools, clubs and play grounds.

We need to be prepared for God to change the message that we have knowing that He has the words that need to be heard.

Change is never easy, however it is a fact of life and we must adapt to change. We need to be ready for what God gives us and rejoice in it.

Martha was speaking for us all. The human race is dead, and there is a bad smell. We have been dead and buried a long time. We don’t need someone to fix us up; we need someone to raise us up. In the muck and mire of what we call life, there is death, and we have been in it so long we’ve grown accustomed to the stink. But Christ hasn’t.

We will miss our friend and loved one, I don’t feel they would won’t us to morm the lost, however be should go on living and enjoy life to the fullest that God has For everyone.
