I would say that the Bible recognizes that God gave humans the abilities to think and reason. However, the Bible also indicates that those abilities have been universally compromised or corrupted by sin, and thus have inherent flaws or limitations. As a result, attempts to analyze the human condition, or to solve human problems, that do not take God into account, or that do not incorporate the principles of His revealed truth as found in the Bible will not be fully valid or effective. In fact, Solomon (who was reputedly the wisest person (from a human standpoint) who ever lived, and who thoroughly explored wisdom as a means of finding meaning in life (Ecclesiastes 1:12-18)) concluded that the whole duty of humankind was to fear God and keep His commandments (Ecclesiastes 12:13). Among other Bible verses that speak to this point are the following: Jeremiah 8:9 1 Corinthians 1:20-31 1 Corinthians 2:6-16 1 Corinthians 3:18-20 Colossians 2:8 1 Timothy 6:20 James 3:13-18
