Perhaps the most important commonality between Evangelical Christians and Jehovah's Witnesses is our belief and trust in the Bible as the ultimate authority inspired by God, on issues concerning Go...

The reason that a JW should become a Christian is that you need to give up the idea that Jesus was the arch-angel Michael.

Notice:

Heb 1:13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

This could not be said of the arch-angel Michael

Heb 2:5 For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.

This verse definitely excluded any angel, including the arch-angel Michael

Heb 2:7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:

The lord Messiah Jesus is going to rule over this world in the coming new age and he will do so as a glorified man, not as the arch-angel Michael

Heb 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

This shows that Jesus was not an angel but a man who died on the stake for all of mankind.

Heb 2:16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

This again proves that Jesus was not the arch-angel Michael, there is no way the arch-angel Michael could lay claim to being of the seed of Abraham

1Pe 3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

Notice that angels are now subject to the glorified man who is seated at the right hand of God, his name is Jesus, not Michael.

For all of the above reasons you as a JW should realize that you have been deceived by those who handed down to you the idea that Jesus is the arch-angel Michael. It is another one of Satan's deceptions that he has caused to be used to keep people from knowing who the real Jesus is!

To escape the heavy yoke of bondage that's on your life, placed and kept there under the always watchful eyes of the Watch Tower Society.

To be free of their false doctrines and teachings and breathe maybe for the first time the precious sweet air of liberty.

That which you seek in your dreams is just over the walls of kingdom hall, the true light of a loving God that waits for you. Be of good courage, you can do this.

1Cor 16:13

In the Lord's freedom and liberty.........warrior on

Yes, you need to become a Christian so as to join the family of God.

The Watchtower, in spite of themselves, are not Christian. They are outright dangerous, and rely on threats and unorthodox doctrines for their survival. They are the complainant, policeman, judge and executioner.

By suddenly claiming that the Divine Name must be pronounced every time, they drew up their own bible, drawing mainly from the Westcott & Hort publication with a lot of adulteration to the already compromised copy, then they set up their own set of guidelines to define who is a Christian, then finally, they condemn everyone who doesn't fit into their standard.

If you express any genuine interest to know the truth, you're excommunicated, with the threat of eternal damnation.

Please, flee with your life.

These guys are not Christians. That is sure.

May our God help you.

Bless.

Well, witness is needed in the court of justice both in the criminal and civil laws cases for judging any body who is charged in the court.

"For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; it is He who will save us" (Isaiah 33: 22)

So, who is Jehovah meant by the Jehovah's Witness? Do they really know who Jehovah is? If they only know Jehovah just by the name (Isaiah 42: 8), how can they become a witness? (Mathew 7: 15-23; 24: 11).

I left the Watchtower organization more than 40 years ago. Even though I sent a registered letter to the Headquarters in Brooklyn, and a copy to the local congregation, they still held a public disfellowshipping service claiming I was guilty of "conduct unbecoming to a Christian."

Since then, I have become an avid student of the Word, and have even edited theological and eschatological manuscripts for authors.

Something interesting to note is that the letter J wasn't added to the English alphabet until the 17th century. (My pastor spoke about this one sermon, and I checked it out on Wikipedia and other sites.)

All my family are now true believers, but my oldest niece has left the church and joined the JWs. I hope to have opportunity to share truth with her this Saturday. I covet your prayers to that end. Thank you.

Because my brother The Bible says in John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begoten Son that whomsoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. And simply put this includes you. God so loves you, that Jesus died for you. Simple true love. This makes you myself and everyone who believes, sons and daughters of God. How great is that?

Christianity is not a religion. It is a relationship between God and man. God created man for a proper relationship. When the relationship was broken He planned for his restoration He sent His only begotten Son to this world to give life to the mankind.

Jesus came to this world not to perish but to give everlasting life to everyone who believes in Him. As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those believe in His name (Jn.1:12).

Jesus never called His followers Christians but only disciples. Religion is man made for man's existence. Jesus never came to establish Christianity. He came to this world as propitiation for our sins, not ours only but also for the sins of the whole world (1 Jn.2:2). In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins according to riches of His grace. (Eph.1:7)

The New World Translation was produced by the New World Bible Translation Committee, formed in 1947. "The New World Bible translation committee had no known translators with recognized degrees in Greek or Hebrew exegesis or translation... None of these men had any university education except Fredrick W. Franz,
Charles T. Russell said that he had attended public school for seven years, having left when he was about fourteen years of age, after which he received instruction through private tutors. He said that he was versed in Latin terms "to an extent" but did not know Hebrew or Greek, that he had never been ordained by any bishop or minister, and had never attended a theological seminary or any schools of higher learning.(Wikipedia Sources)

How can such a committee as this produce a bible to supposedly correct the bible?

If they truly adhere to their NWT bible, than they should find, in their bible, that Jesus claimed to be God.

NWT bible: (from their own bible)
John 5:18 This is why the Jews began seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath but he was also calling God his own Father, making himself equal to God.

Note: Here, Jesus making himself "equal" to God. An angel cannot claim this statement.

John 20:28 In answer Thomas said to him: “My Lord and my God!”

Doubting Thomas called Jesus his God, capital "G". (lower case "G" denotes lower gods (Exodus 20:3).

Hebrews 1:3 He is the reflection of God’s glory+ and the exact representation of his very being,+ and he sustains all things by the word of his power. And after he had made a purification for our sins,

Note: "the exact representation of his (God The Father) very being". Than, this means that Jesus is also exactly as God the Father is, God Almighty.

Did you know that Jehovah is actually Jesus himself? He is the YHVH?

John 40:3 A voice of one crying out:
Prepare the way of the Lord in the wilderness;
make a straight highway for our God in the desert.

Note: This verse is describing two different people here.
John the Baptist, and Jesus Christ....

John 1:23 (KJV)
He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

Note: The Lord in Hebrew is none other than YHVH! Kyrios or Kyriou in Greek.

Matthew 11:10 For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

Note: The "before thee,or you" is Jesus as the LORD. John prepared the way for Jesus our Lord (YHVH), Yahweh or Yehovah. Phonetic Spelling: (yeh-ho-vaw').

How can Michael be Jesus, when in the book of Jude, it talks about three separate beings?

Jude 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Lord God in Greek is "Despotes Theos"
Lord Jesus Christ is " kyrios Iēsous Christos

Jude 9
Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Note: "Yet Michael the archangel" is still referred to as just an archangel.
He is the third person in the book of Jude.
And also, when he rebuked Satan, "The Lord rebuke thee", That Lord he rebuked Satan in was "Kyrios", which belonged to non other but Jesus.

Jehovah's Witness serves a different Jesus, or, another Jesus.

2 Corinthians 11: 4
For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Matthew 7:21 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me...
