Great blessings can come from great struggles. God often uses what appear to be impossible human circumstance to reveal His glory... He desires a broken and contrite heart, not as a means of harm, but sometimes we must be so very low (emotionally, physically, spiritually) before we will finally humbly be "honest to God" about our circumstances and our need for His intervention.

We nearly lost our farm to a series of bad choices... we'd made decisions prayerfully and thought we were following God's will. Our decisions were not in line with His word. A series of unfortunate circumstances resulted in high losses, and in frustration one day I asked God, "if this is what happens when someone gives their life to You,
WHY would anyone want to?"
The answer was a still, soft voice that whispered ETERNAL SALVATION.

It began a shift in my focus from our problems to His majesty and I learned to trust Him in spite of and in the midst of the struggles.

The result: we were blessed by an audit. The government discovered they owed us just enough to make our payments that year... payments we'd have never made without the audit.
And in the ten years since, we always have just enough and almost always just in time. We know it is His hand and we've learned to trust and rely on Him more and more.
Read Job 3:25 That which I feared...
BUT

2 Timothy 1:7 For God does not give a spirit of fear, but of love, of power, and of a sound mind (and/or self control, depending on your preferred text.
