John 5:18 tells us: "Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God." The religious Jews knew exactly who and what Christ claimed to be. In the dialogue of John 8 the Jews asked the Lord if he was greater than Abraham who was dead. "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by." (John 8:56-59). Notice the Lord did not state I was but "I AM" (caps mine). He was claiming to exist before Abraham. God The Son exists throughout eternity. As in John 5 the Jewish leaders knew exactly what Christ was claiming. (See Exodus 3:14) One of my favorite verses: "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." (1 Timothy 3:16) Manifest: to make manifest or visible or known what has been hidden or unknown, to manifest, whether by words, or deeds, or in any other way. make actual and visible, realised to make known by teaching. (Acts 20:28)
When John 1:1-5 specifically says that in the beginning, it is saying before creation and that the world was brought into existence by the Word speaking it so. Then John says through the Holy Spirit that the Word was with God but not just with but was God. Now is the Word, Jesus? Yes. John goes on in verse 14 and says the Word became flesh. Who is God in the flesh. It was, is and forever will be Jesus. Jesus in His glorified body. Colossians 2:9 says Christ or Jesus is the Fullness of God verse 2 says this is the mystery spoken of by Old Testament prophets, that God would become flesh Isaiah 7:14 says a virgin will conceive and give birth to a son and he shall be called IMMANUEL. God is with us. Now, the only one ever born of a virgin is Jesus the Christ, the Son of the Living God..
Dear beloved Niau Range; Peace be to you in The Mighty Name of Jesus Christ the Messiah, King of kings and The Lord of lords. You may find the answers to your question in these scriptures: PSALMS 110 King James Version (KJV) 110 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. 2 The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. 3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth. 4 The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. 5 The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath. 6 He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries. 7 He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head. JOHN 1:1-15 King James Version (KJV) 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. Revelation 1King James Version (KJV) 1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. 4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; 5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. 8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. 9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, 11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. 12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; 13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a... Jesus in John 10:30 says: "I and the Father are One..." John 14:5-11 says "...Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” 8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” 9 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. THE WORD OF GOD SPEAKS FOR ITSELF!
I thank you to Jesus on behalf of your comments and answer. I do really blessed. However, I would like to add a little verses I no doubt that Jesus 8s really GOD, they are follows; in Isaiah 9:6 called Jesus *Everlasting Father*, same Isaiah 44:6 God said He is *The First and The Last* combine with Revelation 2:8 tells us that *The First and The Last was dead and lived again*. Above verses is strongly clarified that Jesus is God Himself and also we may use this to answer to those who don't believe Jesus is God, especially, Muslim and JW. Jesus loves you all.
In Philippians Jesus has to humble himself from God to man, since sin cannot be in the face God. Philippians 2:7-11, 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Here Jesus says that he is the Great I am. John 8:58, Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. John 14:9-10, Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. God becomes Flesh John 1King James Version (KJV), 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
