When Timothy was advised to drink wine by Paul for medicinal purposes, did this signal the end of miraculous healings?
1 Timothy 5:23
NKJV - 23 No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake and your frequent infirmities.

I don't see the New Testament either as indicating an endpoint to divine intervention in healing, or as viewing medical science as incompatible with healing through prayer, miracles, or other spiritual means. Luke was a conventional physician who nevertheless witnessed and recorded healings by supernatural means (as in Acts 19:11-12). Although Jesus performed many healings, He also validated the role of a physician (Matthew 9:12; Mark 2:31; Luke 5:31). God has placed many means of healing at our disposal, and (in my opinion) does not look on any of them with disfavor; does not view the use of non-spiritual treatments as somehow indicating a lack of faith; and does not regard medicine and the use of faith or prayer as mutually exclusive. I think that it would have been the same concerning Paul's admonition to Timothy.
