He was the founder of the Persian Empire which conquered Babylon. That was quite a feat! Then he was anointed by God to free the Jews from captivity. Isaiah mentioned him by name 200 years before he was born (Isa. 45). Isaiah is the one prophet who says in the Book of Isaiah that he was anointed by God. (Isaiah 45:1). Lockyer, Wikipedia

How is that for accuracy? You can trust the Bible for truth! Never doubt that God has all things under control. "The Lord will rule forever!” (Exodus 15:18, ICB).
