In my opinion, there might be a connection in relationship to a comparison between David and Solomon on the one hand, and Jesus and the Antichrist on the other. The Bible says in 1 Kings 11:4 that, in Solomon's later years, his heart was not perfect toward God, as the heart of his father David had been (although, of course, even David had not been free of sin, as indicated in 2 Samuel 11 and 2 Samuel 24).

Solomon's 666 talents of gold might have a been a threefold symbol of this imperfection, since 7 is Biblically symbolic of completeness or perfection, dating back to there being seven days in the week as a result of God resting on the seventh day and hallowing it in Genesis (Genesis 2:1-3).

Similarly, the Antichrist's number being 666 (Revelation 13:18) is, in my opinion, symbolic of a "trinity" of imperfection or evil (such as Satan, the Antichrist, and the False Prophet) in opposition to the perfect Trinity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

There is no connection. Just because two numbers are the same does not mean that there must be a connection. 

There is an important principle that we need to hold onto here. Unless the Bible itself makes the connection, or gives a direct interpretation of one passage in terms of another, then any connection we see is purely imaginary, speculative and unfounded. 

People see connections between all kinds of things in the Bible and many of those connections that may seem sensible to us are really just wrong ideas that lead others and ourselves astray. It is important to understand that all false teaching comes from this kind of speculation and human thinking.

I am glad this question was asked because it is actually a very important question; not because 666 is mysterious but because it is important to understand that sometimes there are no connections and where the Bible is silent we shouldn't try to fill the gap with our own speculations. And that is the real importance of this question.

There is no logical connection between the two numbers, but perhaps this large number of talents of gold contributed to Solomon's departure from the faith, in addition to his foreign wives (the main reason). 

According to 1 Tim 6:10 "the love of money is the root of all evil." Solomon was extremely wealthy, and with 666 denoting the epitomy of evil in Revelation, this number may have had an evil influence on Solomon, if you believe numbers can have mystical properties. 

Certain authors such as Ivan Panin have made much of numbers in the bible, even reducing words to their numerical equivalents in both the New and Old Testaments. Gematria, or Hebrew numerology of the Old Testament goes back to the second century AD for the Jews. 

In general, I would say numerical analysis of the bible by any method is unnecessary to please God.
