Do you believe that Jesus paid for all your sins and that he was buried and rose again on the third day, and you believe He did it all for you because He loves you? First Corinthians 15:1-4. When ever you first believed it, you were sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise that says I will never leave you or forsake you. Ephesians 1:13

John 6:37-40 Jesus said that all that come to me I will in no wise cast out. And of all that have come to me I have lost nothing. He has never lost one. 
And the will of God is that we trust in the one He has sent, Jesus, and He will raise us up on the last day. You should feel like you just won the lottery. You know you are going to heaven when you die because Jesus paid your way. John 3:18 You have believed and can no longer be condemned. If you had not believed you would have been condemned already.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, (you and me) that He gave His only Son, (Jesus) that whosoever, (you and me) believeth in Him, (trusts that He did it all for us) should no perish, but HAVE everlasting life. 

Truly it does not depend on how we feel or what we understand at the moment but on Gods word. Jesus can not lie. So you know you are going to heaven when you die because you have believed.

First John 5:13 says, we know we have eternal life because we have believed on the Son of God.

I find listening to old Hymns are a real blessing because most of them have so much truth in them. Amazing Grace how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me. My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness. Not my own righteousness. 

Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine, oh what a fore taste of joy divine. 

I hope this helps as Jesus has give us so many promises in the bible that we can look to that will reinforce our faith. Just remember, Jesus loved you so much He went to the cross just for you and gave His blood sacrifice a ransom just for you. He loves you that much.

So if you believe that Jesus went through all that He did on the cross just for you, You are saved and have the Holy Spirit in you which is your righteousness before God. It is by faith alone with out works.
