Hosea 4:6

ESV - 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

'Lack of knowledge' can bring destruction both local and global.

I humbly submit for your consideration an updated gentile version to brother Michael’s historical post to a Jewish audience and set in our modern era.

In this age, we are technically blessed beyond the wildest dreams of those who briefly stood on this stage before us, and as such we can easily deceive ourselves into thinking we are the crown of creation and the wisest of all.
(2 Corinthians 2:11; Galatians 4:8)

We can imagine that our esoteric knowledge places us somehow above and beyond the normal limiting laws, whether religious or physical, that constrained our 'unenlightened' forebearers; we can convince ourselves that Newton was wrong and there are no consequences for any actions. (2 Corinthians 4:4; Psalms 2:4)

With our new leisure time and access to the acquired knowledge of the ages, many busy themselves pursuing and prostrating before the various secular altars within the synagogue of Satan, coming away with its abhorrent crackpot ideas and practices. (Judges 17:6; 2 Corinthians 11:13-15; 2 Thessalonians 2:3)

Some leaders boldly decree that day is now night with the essence of leftist discourse which is 'political correctness.' They enforce their various diktats by taking offense, calling their opponents names, refusing to let them speak, and declining to debate.

“And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children” (Hosea 4:6)

Many will be tempted and freely choose to warm themselves by their enemies campfires (remember Peter) and happily take their thirty pieces of silver, without the slightest thought of danger. (2 Timothy 3:1; 2 Peter 2:12)

Our current state-run education system produces woefully undereducated and massively in debt narcissistic proletariat. (Proverbs 1:22; Proverbs 18:13) These cry for their safe spaces to protect themselves from logical facts and any form of harmful reality that might cause them permanent physiological damage requiring years of serious couch time to repair. (Proverbs 1:7; Proverbs 1:32)

Consider that they have been busily waging the really important and quite fashionable issues of our day like homosexual marriage and bathrooms for the scientifically confused. (Deuteronomy 23:1)

Their twenty first century leaders have been busily importing an active seventh-century ideological system that desires to drag any living back to their seventh-century utopia. (Proverbs 1:26; Psalms 146:3)

As for destruction on a larger scale, Igor Sutyagin, an expert in Russian nuclear capability at the Royal United Services Institute in London, said Russia has unveiled chilling pictures of its largest ever nuclear missile. It is capable of destroying an area the size of France.

He said: "Not only are they too fast, but they have gotten rid of the predictable flight path." Dr Sutyagin also said they would be no match for any Nato systems like Aegis Ashore

These SATAN 2 missiles and their mobile launchers have been deployed for four weeks now in the Ukraine some sixty miles from the broke NATO forces.

And thanks to the loose lips of a certain candidate, our enemies now know the secret four minute response cycle time (launch command to our birds in the air).

The maximum flight time for any missile from launch to impact was only 33 minutes and now it’s somewhat less and seven days ago the Russians ran the complete launch cycle drill. (Galatians 4:16)

At some point, this generation will be the leaders of tomorrow, if the Lord should tarry.

In the Lord’s freedom seeking humbly His knowledge…..warrior on

There are two salvations mentioned in the bible. One is salvation by grace by believing in Jesus for salvation. John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me HATH EVERLSASTING LIFE.

So, if we have believed we have everlasting life. If we do not have everlasting life, it is because we have not believed. That is salvation by grace to everyone that believes the gospel. First Corinthians 15:1-4.

But there is another salvation mentioned in the bible. To save our selves from this wicked generation. That is has nothing to do with salvation from hell, which is a free gift from God. But it has to do with knowledge. Christians who live in sin do reap what we sow. Knowledge helps us to keep from destroying our lives from lack of knowledge.

For the believer, saved person, we should ask the Lord for knowledge, who gives it liberally to the one who asks. I have never been disappointed when I ask the Lord for wisdom. The bible is full of wisdom from cover to cover in the KJV bible which is the only version I trust, because all other versions have been corrupted by men.

Believers should know a 100% they are saved from hell and going to heaven when we die based on what Jesus did for us, not on what we do, our works.

But, we can save ourselves a lot of grief by grieving the Spirit of God that lives in us and is our perfect guarantee of heaven. Ephesians 4:30. We are sealed unto the day of redemption by what Jesus did for us.

But now we can either walk in the Spirit or in the flesh. To know how God sees things, we can read the bible and learn how to live. We already have eternal security, because we have believed on His name.

But God can withhold his blessing from nations, and individuals. When the morality of a nation goes bad, God does not just punish them, he withholds blessing. He takes away his hand of protection and allows evil to reign.

As a nation we reap what we sow, and as individuals whether saved or not, we do reap what we sow.

All believers have eternal life. But God does chasten his children. If we continue to live in sin He may take our life. We are destroyed for lack of knowledge. We can not lose our salvation, but we can lose our blessing from God, and receive the chastening hand of the Lord.

After we become a believer, we should ask the Lord for wisdom. He will guide us into the truth we ask for. That is the one prayer that God will answer. He wants us to grow in grace and knowledge to keep our selves from the wickedness of this generation. Not that we will ever be perfect in this life, but we can grow to maturity and not be caught up in things that do not please the Lord.

We have to keep the one separated from the other. Our salvation is complete in Him, when we first believed and we have eternal life now. That we receive as a free gift from God. Heaven is not a reward for good behavior, but a GIFT from God for trusting Jesus as our savior.

Now we should learn and grow.in grace to keep ourselves from this wicked generation. Salvation from ruining our lives and maybe an early death. But our salvation from hell is secure in what Jesus has already done for us.

Please do not over-complicate the issue. It simply means that in man's usual "I am greater than he" mentality we forget our hierarchical position with God: (1)GOD is GOD. He is omniscient. He is the giver of life and all knowledge comes from him. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom: "In all thy getting get understanding. If any man lacks wisdom let him ask of God who gives to all liberally." We should all ask of God before we speak or act. After all, he is still alive and on the throne the last time I checked.

Shalom

This means much more than knowledge about God; it refers to a personal knowledge of God. The Hebrew word describes a husband’s most intimate relationship with his wife (Gen. 4:1; 19:8).

Genesis 4:1: "Adam made love to [knew] his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, ‘With the help of the LORD I have brought forth a man.'"

Genesis 19:8: "Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with [known] a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don't do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof."

To know God is to have a personal relationship with Him through faith in Jesus Christ (John 17:3). --This is one of my favorite verses. Jesus here prayed to His Father and our Father (if you are a born-again Christian), "And this is life eternal, that they [His followers] might know You, the only true God and eternal life."
