Prayer God hears is your action of faith in Him and Jesus for what he has done for you. The Bible indicates that God DOES NOT listen to communications from sinners or non believers that call out to A GOD that is nor the GOD of the Bible. Salvation is another issue.
Sad but true, our current system over the world is a fake for fact. Participation in your life is to be of God, not the unbeliever, which is exactly what Muslim is about. They recognize Jesus but NOT as the Son of God, just a Prophet that ALLAH will send back to make Muslim the religion of the world. That is recorded in the Koran.
