I too am going through that and have chosen to stand in the gap for my marriage. If you're not familiar with standing, I'd be happy to discuss it with you. God does restore broken marriages and brings your prodigal spouse home.

You need to pray. God can help.

You also need to get educated as to what is happening. Your wife has been completely brainswashed by feminism. Don't for one second listen to those people who say that it is your fault for not doing this or that. Unless you committed adultery, there is absolutely no excuse for divorce. Stand your ground. Go look up on the internet about how feminism is ripping this country apart by destroying families. The bible says God hates divorce. Feminists, even christians support it. While you go through this painful process, you need to understand what is going on. Feminism is a tool of the devil that has decieved your wife. Knoweldge is power. Understand what you are battling with. Otherwise you will be like a helpless man who doesn't understand what he is facing and you will have to go through all kinds of hell to appease a woman who can't be appeased because she is brainwashed. The devil's most powerful weapon is a lie, even a half-truth ("did god really say..."). Pray that God's truth would prevail.

Standing is a term used by Christian men and women whose marriages are collapsing and where one spouse has mentally and/or physically left the marriage and may be thinking about divorce. The gap is essentially the life of the spouse who is disobedient to God and is headed to either eternal salvation or eternal death. That spouse is much like the Prodigal Son, Jesus spoke of in Luke 15:11 -15:32. God hates sin, adultery and divorce and heals broken marriages every day when we allow the Holy Spirit to instruct us how to serve God who then works to transform the hardened heart of the wayward spouse and convict them to come back home to their family and covenant marriage.

The Lord led me to an incredible website founded by a couple (Bob and Charlene Steinkamp) whose marriage was restored by God following their divorce. Their ministry, Rejoice Marriage Ministries came together shortly thereafter. The incredible story of their marriage's ups and downs and subsequent divorce and marriage restoration is laid out in their introduction on their site, https://www.rejoiceministries.org. They have written dozens of books from both the prodigal and stander's perspective as well as recorded many informational CD's/MP3 downloads which are available at a very reasonable cost on their site. There are free Podcasts available for listeners who, like me, are on a really tight budget.

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions I'd be happy to discuss further. BTW, standing works when
