In my humble opinion the simplest answer to the question of following and obeying the Lord, is to conduct one’s affairs in an honest and just matter toward everyone we will meet during our brief dance on this stage. (John 15:12)

Conduct yourself at all times with others in truth and love always and never leave anything that is good undone or unsaid until tomorrow (sadly that future time is hoped for, but not promised to anyone). (1 Corinthians 16:13)

Be the BEST ambassador for Christ that you can be 24/7 and remember that to many here you will be the only JESUS they might ever see, so be a true mirror image remembering that anything less may cause more damage than good and may turn some away, be wise and seek His will on all kingdom matters. (Psalms 69:6)

Now what you do have is the now which you must use wisely friend by letting those you love know it before they leave your presence, sadly again some perhaps for the last time.(Ester 4:14; 2 Corinthians 4:7))

I believe that all your actions are the best way to follow or obey and will give a better witness and beat the pious carry of a twenty four pound Bible every time, as you shall know them by their fruit.(2 Corinthians 2:17; Deuteronomy 29:29)

Mishnaic phrase taught by Jewish prince and sage, Hillel
Shabbat 31A “What you do not want done to you, do not do to your friend.”

In the Lord’s freedom always…..warrior on

I like what Marvin Reynolds, Retired Chaplain U.S. Army Hospital, said:
"The best example for you to use to guide you is to read Mathew chapters 5, 6 and 7."

From these 3 chapters, Jesus' sermon on the mountain, I glean,

(1) Be reconciled to a brother (Matthew 5:24)
(2) Don't be like the hypocrites in prayer (Mt. 6:5)
(3) Beware of false prophets (Matthew 7:15; Philippians 3:2)
(4) Treat others as you expect to be treated (Mt. 7:12; Lk 6:31) The term "Golden Rule" is the popular way of referring to the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:12 and Lu 6:31.
(5) Don't lay up treasures on earth (Matthew 6:19)
(6) Let your light shine (Matthew 5:16)
(7) Don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing (Mt. 6:3)
(8) Don't worry about tomorrow (Matthew 6:34)

The best example for you to use to guide you is to read Mathew chapter 5, 6 and 7. Notice also that this sermon is a series of answers to questions that almost all Christian will or have asked, and gives them an understanding of what God expects as voiced by his Son, Jesus. Here are a few examples that you can use to understand what these 3 Chapters are about.

Question one:
"What care can we expect from God?'
Read Chapter 5:3-12 and see that Jesus has pointed out how God reacts to our needs.

Question Two:
'What does God expect from us?'
Read Chapter 5: 13-16

Question Three:
'What is our relationship to the Law of God?'
Read Chapter 5:17-20.

Question Four:
'What is our integrity to be?'
Read Chapter 5:21-24

Question Five:
'What about our Debts?'
Read Chapter 5:25-26

Question Six:
'What about Adultery?'
Read Chapter 5:27-30

Question Seven:
"What about Divorce?"
Read Chapter 5:31-32

Question Eight:
"What about Promises?"
Read Chapter 5:33-37

The questions are extensive and make very good sermons for instructing a Church or an individual because EVERY area of life is covered in this section of Scripture that gives you good wisdom and purpose.

One word: LOVE!

Galatians 5:14
"For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."

So simple, yet so hard to do. Imagine if this were the standard today! Unfortunately, it will not be possible until Satan's control of this world is removed (2 Cor 4:4). Thank you God for giving us an escape route from this present evil world (Gal 1:4) through faith in Jesus Christ (Eph 2:8)!
