NKJV - 5 Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.

Good question and it is one we all struggle with. First of all we need to accept him Romans 10:9.
Then commit to him Psalms143:10
This is a daily thing one that takes us a life time. And as we do this we turn it over to him Prov 3:6
Philippians 1:6 states that be confident that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.
A study of the be attitudes will help in this. But don't be discouraged take it one day at a time
