Is it all right to sing praise or worships songs that do not contain the name of the Lord?

Since two of the books (Esther and Song of Solomon) in the canon of Scripture that God inspired do not mention the name of God, then I don't think that Christians can or should adopt a hard-and-fast rule in that regard about the content of hymns, or assume that, because a hymn of praise or worship does not specifically contain God's name, it should not be sung out of concern for God's disapproval of it, or for not providing a proper witness. To me, it would depend on a case-by-case consideration of the message that the song was written to convey, and whether that message is consistent with the teachings of the Bible.
